Email & Office 365
Your University email is accessed via mail.chi.ac.uk.
The Office 365 suite includes the following services which can be accessed via the 'Apps' icon
in the top left corner:Outlook (email)
OneDrive: offering 2 TB of file storage
Microsoft Teams: communication & collaboration platform that combines persistent chat, video meetings etc
OneNote: collaboration app for notes, drawings, screen clippings, & audio commentaries
Office online products: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Alternative methods of accessing email includes using the 'Email / Office 365' link from Moodle chi.ac.uk click the menu button in top right corner then 'Staff & Students' then 'Email'.

Calendar
Your University calendar can be accessed from email via the 'Calendar' icon in the bottom left corner.
The 'People' icon allows you to add someone to your contacts list from the university directory
or join a university group.
Students will likely receive calendar invites to online lectures or webinars via technologies such as Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business, in most cases this can be accessed via a browser without needing to install any software.
Timetables for students
Timetabled sessions for students will automatically appear in your Office 365 calendar.
Your teaching timetables can also be accessed via links in Moodle
or ChiView.
Microsoft Outlook mobile app
Your University email and calendar can also be accessed via the 'Microsoft Outlook' mobile app for iOS & Android.
Once installed your mobile device can be setup to receive notifications for emails and calendar events via options within the app.
Microsoft Office for personal devices
You can install Microsoft Office on up to 5 personal devices.
If installing on Windows or Mac, this will be the full desktop version of Microsoft Office.
