Multi-factor authentication

The University uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an additional security measure to protect your IT account from unauthorised access and cyber threats.

When accessing network services such as email, Moodle and SupportMe, you may be asked to enter a one-time passcode which will be sent to one of your MFA authentication methods

  • Authenticator App - the requested passcode will be displayed in the app
  • Registered telephone number -  the passcode will be sent to you by SMS message or a telephone call

On some mobile devices Face-ID / Touch-ID can be setup to authenticate to MFA.
