Teams
Teams is a universal communication & collaboration platform that combines persistent chat, video meetings, and file storage.
Please visit the Teams Overview page for detailed guides.
Teams is available on university computers from the Start Menu
The Teams app can also be installed on personal devices via the Microsoft website or as part of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Microsoft Office
Depending on your contract with the university, you will have different ways of being able to use Microsoft Office.
All staff can use Microsoft Office Web Apps. These can be accessed by visiting office.com and signing in with your university account, and features most of the functionality provided by the Microsoft Office apps.
If you are a Full or Part time member of staff, then you will be able to use the full Microsoft Office suite of applications on a university desktop or laptop computer.
Full and Part time staff are also entitled to a free subscription of Microsoft Office for use on personal PCs, Apple Macs, iOS, and Android devices:
Staff on Hourly Paid Contracts (HPPS) will be unable to access Office on a university computer and will not have the entitlement to install Office on a personal computer. If a full Office licence is required for an Hourly Paid Contracted member of staff, the line manager will need to request this using SupportMe.
