The university uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an additional security measure to protect your IT account from unauthorised access and cyber threats.
When accessing network services such as email, Moodle and SupportMe, you may be asked to confirm the logon request
which can be actioned via a mobile app. Alternatively, you may be prompted to enter a one-time passcode.MFA authentication methods
- PingID Mobile app
- PingID Desktop App
- Using a personal email address
- An Authenticator app, such as Microsoft Authenticator
On some mobile devices Face-ID / Touch-ID can be setup to authenticate to MFA.
