Holiday Support

The SIZ service is closed over the Easter bank holiday weekend from 8pm on Thursday 17th and will reopen on Tuesday 22nd April at 8am.  We will respond to your query at that time.

The LRCs remain open 10am to 8pm and online services will continue, some of which are outlined below:

Library:

Library loans will continue to renew automatically, unless another user has requested them.  Please bring requested books back at your earliest convenience.  Self-service machines remain available to borrow and return books as well as account management.

You can continue to access the Library catalogue, eResources, subject support,  Live Chat enquiry and more via the Library's Moodle page and the Help website.

eBooks and online journal databases

If you are looking for journal articles on topics relating to your assignments, then please see Your subject resources on the Library Moodle.

eBooks are available from our eBook platforms.

 

Access to information systems:

Please note that all University systems (libraries, calendars, email, Chiview,  MAF, Moodle, HR, etc) will continue to operate normally this weekend, and that all of these can be accessed from off, as well as on campus.

Urgent Mental Health and Wellbeing support:

If you need mental health support over the weekend you should,

  • For an immediate emergency requiring the Police, Ambulance or Fire Service, dial 999

  • Attend your nearest A&E department for an urgent assessment
  • Contact the Samaritans on 116 123 (24 hours)
  • The Mix (Essential support for under 25s) - 1:1 webchat support between 4pm and 11pm
