Online library resources
Academic partners can access online library resources by logging in to the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView). You’ll find databases containing ebooks, online journal articles, and reference materials.
Please note: we do not provide access to any other online resources or databases through the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) other than those listed.
You will find guides and videos to help you log in and use our databases, listed under 'Library Resources Guides' on the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) homepage.
Walk in access
You may wish to use our University of Chichester campus libraries located in the Learning Resource Centres at both the Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses: location details, directions and opening hours.
As a Partner of the University you are entitled to borrow 10 items from our libraries. To obtain a library card please request one from help@chi.ac.uk or ask at the SIZ reception desk on arrival at the library. Please bring personal ID with you.
Additional online resources are available to use on either campus through your Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) account (select the link in the section On-campus Library E-Resources). SIZ reception desk can provide a temporary password to access University computers. Please bring personal ID with you.
Academic partners are eligible to use other academic libraries. First request a University of Chichester library card from help@chi.ac.uk, then when you have your library borrower number you can apply for access on the national SCONUL website: https://www.sconul.ac.uk/sconul-access.
Note: your Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) password will not allow you to log in to our University computers. Your password is for the Academic Partner Portal.
