Academic partners can access online library resources by logging in to the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView). You’ll find databases containing ebooks, online journal articles, and reference materials. Illustrative image

Please note: we do not provide access to any other online resources or databases through the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) other than those listed.

You will find guides and videos to help you log in and use our databases, listed under 'Library Resources Guides' on the Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) homepage.

Walk in access

If convenient, you are entitled to use our University of Chichester campus libraries located in the Learning Resource Centre at both the Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses: location details, directions and opening hours.

As a Partner of the University you are entitled to borrow 10 items from our libraries. If you have not already been issued with a library card you can request one by emailing, or by bringing some ID to the library reception desks.

Academic partners are eligible for SCONUL access to their nearest institution.  In order to apply for SCONUL access you have to request a library card from and then when you have received your card you can apply via the SCONUL website

Another benefit to visiting our libraries is that we can provide you with access to additional online resources by giving you access to our campus computers. If you go to the SIZ reception desk with some form of ID and ask for 'walk in access' to our resources, they will be able to issue you with a password to use our computers for that day.

Please note: Your Academic Partner Portal (ChiView) password will not allow you to log in to our University computers. Your password is for off-campus use only.
