Scope of service

Whilst all classroom equipment is checked on a regular basis and is subject to planned maintenance and upgrade schedules to maintain high availability, there are occasions when equipment can fail. In these instances we will endeavour to provide emergency assistance within 10* minutes of receiving a call to the Support and Information Zone (SIZ) and the Service Delivery team being notified. In some cases, it may not be possible to resolve issues in a timely fashion and alternative teaching arrangements may be required.

*Either a physical support presence or a remote support call. Remote support will be offered when there is no physical presence on a campus but the callout is within Classroom Technical Support operating hours.

Please note: We cannot provide a technical support to check equipment before a session, nor can we provide technical support to operate equipment for you during the session. Please familiarise yourself with equipment and room instructions in advance of your event. We aim to keep equipment in teaching spaces as standard as possible.

If you encounter any non-urgent issues, they can be reported through the Support Me self service portal: My Teaching > IT Support (Teaching Room/Open Access).
