Accessing Staffnet
On University computers the Staff intranet is the home page for both Chrome and Edge or it can be accessed from the Start menu.
On personal devices you can access it by visiting staffnet.chi.ac.uk, or from the Staff/student links on the main website.
Getting around Staffnet
At the top of the Staffnet home page, you can find quick links, these include access to your Email, Moodle, Department pages, Library catalogue, ChiView, SupportMe, HR self service, the Help website, Rooms Bookings, SAM, Visitor parking permits, Coronavirus information, the telephone directory and more links.
Underneath this, you can see News,
Upcoming Events,
and Departments.
You can also access the departments from the quick links mentioned earlier, or from the drop-down button on the left-hand side.
On the left-hand side menu, there is a link Staffnet Home page (this remains on all pages throughout the site) and when you are on the home page you can also access the other departments, (by clicking the drop-down button) the News and the University events.
If you are on a department page then you will see any sub-pages for that department here too.
On the right-hand side, you can see the service status,
University feeds
and the telephone directory widget
where you can quickly search for someone's details.
