Each open access computer has been allocated a number. If you want to book a specific computer, find or check its number via the Chichester maps or Bognor maps computer availability links. When you have this information:
1. Log in to the open access booking system (MyPC) with your University username and password
Glide provide Wi-Fi and a wired internet connect to all halls of residence, which includes gaming services for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
You will need to create a Glide account before you can use Wi-Fi in halls of residence.
Note: eduroam Wi-Fi can also be used in halls, however it does not allow gaming capabilities.
Although we take all of the cyber security precautions that any other major organisation should do, there are some vulnerabilities that technology alone cannot fully avoid, and example of which, is social engineering (see section lower down). It is important that you are aware of how to minimise the risks to you, your contacts, and the University.
Inspiration software is available on all open access PCs.
Apple products come with many accessibility features including VoiceOver (screen reader), Dictation (voice for text fields), FaceTime (video communication), and Siri (voice and keyboard interaction with the device).
