Preparing your finished dissertation / thesis
The Print and Imaging team are here to help you print and bind your dissertation.
Before you bring / send your work to PrintShop please make any final checks as printing several copies can become expensive.
Printing
If you would like PrintShop to print your work, please email your completed dissertation as a PDF with clear printing, binding, and collection instructions. Please allow at least 2 working days for your work to be ready. Costs are dependent on the number of colour / mono pages.
PrintShop strongly suggests that at peak times you print your dissertation / thesis from one of the multi-function University printers.
Binding
Most courses have specific covers or styles of binding, please tell PrintShop your requirements. Check with your course administrator or in your handbook if you are unsure. Thermal / comb binding can be completed on both campuses within 4 hours (there's no need to book).
The charge is £1.50 per bind.
Collection and hand in
PrintShop can often bind dissertations while you wait. However, if you're planning on collecting from the SIZ please make sure you have advised PrintShop your preferred campus and bring ID. The Print and Imaging team can also supply extras like CD wallets, be sure to check if your need these. Finally, verify that you have the necessary submission forms and know where to hand in your project (contact your course administrator for guidance).
