The eTranscript and HEAR are both University-verified electronic documents that record a student's module details and results. Both documents are added to during a student's time at the University and a final eTranscript/HEAR is released, as applicable, to students when they complete their studies.

Academic Partner students commencing on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes prior to September 2022 will receive a hard copy Transcript (Diploma Supplement) upon successful completion of their programme of study.
Postgraduate taught students, based at Chichester or Bognor Regis campuses, who started their programme of study prior to September 2022 will receive a hard copy Transcript (Diploma Supplement) upon successful completion.
Students on bespoke packages of modules (e.g. employer engagement packages) that do not lead to an award will receive an electronic transcript (diploma supplement) and any certificates of attendance required will continue to be issued by the relevant Academic Department.
If you have not received a registration email and believe you are eligible to receive either an eTranscript or a HEAR please raise a help call via Support Me or at the SIZ. (Please note: user name and password reset issues are dealt with directly via the Gradintelligence website and not via the SIZ or the University's Help site).
Students eligible to receive either of these electronic documents should have received instructions in an email to their student email account e.g. TTest1@stu.chi.ac.uk. These instructions should be followed in order to complete your registration and create your Gradintelligence account. You should then be able to access your eTranscript/HEAR at any time.
Gradintelligence offers a variety of functionality but the University is using just part of this to deliver student eTranscripts/HEARs.
If you are due to graduate this year your final eTranscript/HEAR will normally be released during September/October, following the Awards Board of Examiners.
Once your account is set up and you log in to Gradintelligence you should hit the landing page.
When you first login to Gradintelligence your eTranscript/HEAR status will show as ‘Formative’ and this will change to ‘Final’ when you complete your studies and your final results have been agreed by a Board of Examiners.
To access this electronic document select The University of Chichester from the left handside navigation panel. Selecting this link will take you to the University Services page. Select My Documents - this will take you to the Official Documents page.
To view the document select View and the document will automatically open. This document will include your module details and results and, in the final version, details of your award and classification, if applicable. In addition to these details, the HEAR will also include course and other contextual information.
The details in your eTranscript/HEAR are generated from the University’s student records system. Exam results will not be updated in this document until they have been agreed by a Board of Examiners.
You will be able to share your eTranscript/HEAR electronically via a ‘token’ system with potential employers, immigration services, prospective other education institutions etc. To do this select Share in the Official Documents page under the University of Chichester, My Documents.
This will take you into the 'Share Document' screen:
1. Select from the drop down list to indicate the number of eTranscript/HEAR views the user of the token will be permitted.
2. Select from the drop down list to indicate the period of time the user will have to view your eTranscript/HEAR.
3. Select from the drop down list to indicate if you would like to be notified when the token is used and by what means.
4. Select from the drop down list the category of authorised use for the token
5. Include any message you would like to send to the recipient
6. Enter details of the recipient, as appropriate.
7. Click on Continue. You will then be required to agree to sharing your document.
8. Click on Share Now - this token will be automatically sent to the recipient.
You will be able to access a share history via Share History under More on the Official Document page.
The share history will show who you have shared your eTranscript/HEAR with.
What is the eTranscript/HEAR?

My eTranscript/HEAR does not have the correct information?
Please check the date your eTranscript/HEAR was last updated. The information contained in this electronic document is updated via a process run from the University’s student records system, following each Board of Examiners. This process is not run during exam results processing periods. If the information remains incorrect please raise a help call via Support Me or via the SIZ.
I have forgotten my username or password, what should I do?
Please visit http://www.gradintel.com and you can reset your account information directly.
How will the University communicate with me about the eTranscript/HEAR?
Students will be made aware of the eTranscript/HEAR via University communications when they begin their studies and onwards throughout their higher education experience. It is a formative electronic document for:
- reviewing progress and planning future activities, whether individually or with support from a tutor
- providing information for students to support applications, which may include applications before the final award is made, e.g. for sandwich placements and internships; permanent employment; further study or training opportunities

How do students access the eTranscript/HEAR?
This eTranscript is delivered via a secure web portal called Gradintelligence. This cloud service receives and holds applicable personal data about individual students from our Student Records System and is delivered and supported by the suppliers (Tribal).
Students will receive communications with instructions on how to activate their accounts via Gradintelligence so that they can access information released at any time during their time at University and afterwards. Students will have access to their eTranscript/HEAR in perpetuity via Gradintelligence. Although students will have the option to print the document via Gradintelligence only eTranscripts/HEARs accessed via www.gradintel.com can be considered valid and verified.
Hard copy versions of the eTranscript/HEAR will ONLY be issued on an exceptional basis.
What will be the format for the eTranscript/HEAR?
The eTranscript/HEAR is an electronic document verified by the University. This electronic document develops as the student progresses on their course and it will be accessible at any time during their time at the University and beyond. Only on an exceptional request basis willl it be possible for the University to produce a formal, hard copy document, if this is required.
When will I be able to access my eTranscript/HEAR?
Your eTranscript/HEAR will grow with you as you progress on your programme and your agreed results will be uploaded to this electronic document after each Board of Examiners
If you are due to graduate this year your Final eTranscript/HEAR will normally be released during September/October following the Awards Board of Examiners.
