If you're teaching on a module and want to receive an email when a student submits an assignment after the due date, you can set this up in the Assignment settings
- Navigate to the module and Turn editing on
- Locate the Assignment and select Edit > Edit settings
- Scroll down and select Notifications > Show more...
- Change Notify all graders about late submissions to Yes
Anyone with grading permission on the module will receive an email when a student submits after the due date
