Outlook is the University’s email and calendar service, provided through Microsoft 365. It allows you to send and receive email, manage your timetable, organize meetings, store contacts, and access your calendar across all your devices. You can use Outlook in several ways depending on your preference and device:
- Web browser – Access your email and calendar online through Microsoft 365 without installing any software.
- Desktop app – Full version of Outlook available on University computers and personal devices.
- Mobile app – Outlook app for iPhone, iPad, and Android for quick access to your inbox and calendar on the go.
For Students
Email – Office 365 Browser
- Log in to your University email using the browser-based version of Outlook.
- Access the full Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams and OneDrive, via the apps launcher.
- Online lecture and webinar invitations appear in your inbox and can be opened directly in the browser.
Email – Mobile Device App
- Install the Microsoft Outlook app on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
- Turn on notifications for new messages and calendar events.
- Do not use built‑in mail apps (e.g., Apple Mail, Gmail app) with your University account.
Calendar
- Your academic timetable is automatically added to your Outlook calendar.
- You can also access timetable links via Moodle or ChiView.
Microsoft Office for Personal Devices
- Includes Outlook Desktop App.
- Students may install Microsoft Office on up to five personal devices.
- Includes full desktop versions for Windows and macOS.
