Listening to messages #

To access voicemail:

  • Dial 6375 (voicemail number) and you will be prompted to enter your security code
  • You will hear “You have x new messages and x saved messages”
  • Press 1 to listen to new messages and 5 for saved messages

Managing messages #

While listening to messages you can do the following:

  • Press 1 to pause/resume
  • Press 2 to forward message
  • Press 4 to discard/delete message
  • Press 5 to save message
  • Press 6 to review message
  • Press 7 to skip to next message
  • Press 00 for time/date that message was left
  • Press * to exit/cancel

Note: Deleted voicemail messages must be retrieved straight away. Press 7 to retrieve. Once you have exited the voicemail system deleted messages cannot be retrieved

Remove incorrect “message waiting” status #

Sometimes when you’ve deleted all your voicemail messages, the status on the display still says: “Message Waiting”

To clear this, press the following keys on your telephone: #91#C

To access your voicemail #

From your own extension

  • Dial 6375
  • Enter your security code
  • Follow the voice prompts

From another internal phone

  • Dial 6375
  • Press *
  • Press #
  • Enter your security code
  • Follow the voice prompts

From outside the University

  • Dial 01243 816375
  • Press #
  • Enter your security code
  • Follow the voice prompts
