6 months following the completion of your programme of study at the University of Chichester you will no longer have access to your student IT account. Furthermore, your student IT account and its associated data will be deleted. Please Note: if you are continuing your studies here on a new course, you don’t need to do anything as the new registration process will automatically preserve your IT account and you won’t lose any data.
You may wish to take copies of the data that you have stored with your University account before access to your account is ceased.
The facilities that will be archived and become unavailable to students not returning to a new programme of study includes:
- Student H-drive (your personalised network storage)
- Email (your username@stu.chi.ac.uk email address) – NB please review and remove any forwarding rules
- OneDrive (your personalised cloud-storage)
- Teams
- All other Microsoft 365 data
- Moodle (the virtual learning environment)
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Access to student software
A guide has been prepared to help you move your data to a personal storage facility.
We would highly recommend changing the email address you have registered with any websites external to the University to ensure that you can continue to sign in after access to your University account ceases.
The removal of your IT account is essential for your own privacy and security, but also to manage the licencing costs associated with accounts that are no longer required.
Please review any data that you wish to keep, and migrate this to a personal non-University storage facility.
If you require any assistance, please contact the SIZ on 01243 816222.
