Uploading files to OneDrive is a quick way to store your documents securely online and access them from any device. Follow the steps below to upload individual files, multiple documents, or whole folders.
Upload Files Using a Web Browser #
1. Open OneDrive
- Go to OneDrive from the waffle menu in office 365. (See Using OneDrive page)
- Go to My files in the sidebar menu.
- Remain at the top level folder or choose a subfolder you wish to upload to.
Option A: Use the Add new Button
- Select Upload at the top of the screen.
- Choose Upload Files or Folder.
- Browse your computer and select what you want to upload.
- Click Open.
Your files will upload automatically.
Option B: Drag and Drop
- Open the folder on your computer where the file is saved.
- Drag the file or folder directly into your OneDrive window, in the folder you want it to appear in, in the browser.
- Release the mouse when you see the “Drop here” area appear.
