Overview #
The University of Chichester provides the following types of transcripts, depending on when you completed your studies:
Basic Academic Transcript
Basic academic transcripts will list all the modules or subjects you studied in each year, the marks or grades you achieved for each module and the credit value and level of each module on headed paper. This document can be stamped and signed upon request. This service is free of charge.
Full Academic Transcript
Full academic transcripts will have the same information as a basic academic transcript, however, this will be accompanied with a copy of the student programme handbook from the time of studies. This will contain information such as the programme descriptor and module component breakdown. This service will incur a fee of £20.

How to obtain a 'Basic Academic Transcript'
- Current Students – This can be done online via ChiView and printing your own or you can email Transcripts@chi.ac.uk.
- Former Students – You will need to email Transcripts@chi.ac.uk where someone will be able to forward you a copy of your transcript.
How to obtain a 'Full Academic Transcript'
- Current Students – If you require a copy of both your basic academic transcript and programme handbook, your programme should be able to supply you with a copy of this, if they haven’t already done so.
- Former Students – You will need to email Transcripts@chi.ac.uk where someone will be able to advise you on the next step or if we require any additional information. Please do not order from the online store until instructed to do so.
I am a former student and my request is more than 10 years old
Unfortunately, if the information that you require is more than 10 years old, it may not be possible to process your request. Our archiving policy is to hold data for up to 10 years therefore it may not be possible to supply all or part of the documentation requested. Please contact Transcripts@chi.ac.uk who will confirm if your request is possible before proceeding.
How long will it take to receive a copy my transcript?
Please be advised that it can take up to 5 working days to process requests depending on the information required and how old the request is. The Transcript email account is monitored Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and we will attempt to answer your request as soon as possible. If your request is urgent please contact Help@chi.ac.uk
How will I receive my transcript?
If you have requested a basic transcript, then we will likely email you a PDF document of the information you require. If require a hardcopy then please let us know at the time of the request.
If you have requested a full academic transcript, then we will need to send this out to you via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or overseas locations will be sent by a tracked and signed for courier service.
World Education Services (WES)
In order for us to send your transcript to the World Education Services (WES), you will need to complete an ‘Academic Records Request Form’. This can be found by clicking here. Once completed, please scan and email the form to Transcripts@chi.ac.uk.
