If you have an existing recording this can be uploaded to Panopto
Staff - if you are adding a recording to a module, you need to make sure you have added the Panopto block and provisioned the course.
From the homepage of Moodle click on Panopto or go to panopto.chi.ac.uk (this will take you to the Panopto website where recordings are stored)
Find the folder you want to upload the recording to (click browse in the left hand menu) and then click Create, and Upload media.
You will then see a pop up screen, you can either drag and drop your video into the box, or click on the box and search for your video
once you have done this you will see the name of your video and a green progress bar,
Once the video has finished uploading it will tell you it is safe to close the window, you can then click on the X to close the pop up
You will then see your video in the folder:
Uploading via an Android device
Install and open the Panopto App from the Play Store.
Open the app and under click sign in, (the box above the sign in button should say Chichester Moodle - Live, do not change this)
On the next page put in your university user name a password
You will then see the panopto home page, click on the + button in the bottom right of the screen
At the bottom of the screen click the upload and record option
you will then see a dropdown box at the top, this will default to your My Folder or the last folder you used, click on the drop down to select the folder you want to upload your recording to, if the folder you need is already there, then skip this bit.
Type in the name of the folder you want your recoirding to go into, if this is a module folder or an assignments folder, then type in the module code (ie TEL101_AY_A_20) if you have more than one option or you are looking for an assignments folder, scroll across the dropdown results to see the rest of the folder name.
A module folder will have show the module code and module name, this is where any videos go to be seen on the module page, students are unable to upload here. An assignments folder will show the Module code, name and then [assignments] this is where students can upload video assignments and these are not shown on the Moodle page
When you have selected your folder, click the files option
Then you can search your phone for the video, select it and it will upload, when the green progress bar has completed, the video is uploaded
Uploading via Apple Mobile devices.
Install and open the Panopto App from your App store.
Do not sign in, instead click Enter URL

It will then ask you for the address, type in chiplayer.cloud.panopto.eu

You will then see a screen with Chichester Moodle - Live above a sign in button, do not change this, just click sign in.

You will then be able to enter your university username and password

It will then log you in and you will be able to upload your video. In android click the icon at the top of the screen that looks like a cloud with an up arrow. In Apple swipe the screen from the left to open the side menu and choose Record and upload.

You will then be able to search the folder you want to put the recording into, if you are a student and have been asked to upload the recording to an assignments folder, search for the module you wish to upload to, (check your module page for the full code eg MASW04_S1_A_19) then choose the [assignments] folder.

Once you have selected your folder, you will be able to click Choose video or Audio files in Android or Choose a video in Apple and then navigate to your video to upload it.
