Assignment folders enable students in their Module folder to create and manage their own content, while preventing them from viewing other students' content that has not been explicitly shared or made public.
This allows students to upload and edit recordings for assignments which can then be easily shared with external examiners.
You must firstly follow the instructions for putting a Panopto block on your moodle page. If you have done this or already have a Panopto block on your page then you can navigate to panopto.chi.ac.uk and search for the module folder on the left hand side of the page by putting the module code in the search bar.
To set up an assignment folder, click on the Folder settings cog.
Then click 'Create Assignment Folder'.
It will then create an assignment folder in my case called Helen: Helen's test page [assignments] you can then close the box by clicking the X in the top right hand corner.
This will take you back to your module folder and you will see the assignments folder as a subfolder of it. (you may have to hover over it to see the full folder name)
Students will be able to record and upload into this folder and will only be able to see their own recording, whereas the lecturers on the module will be able to see all student recordings.
To make it easier for students to access the folder you could post a direct link in your Moodle page. To do this, click on the assignments folder, and then copy the URL from the address bar (with the address highlighted, right click and choose copy)
you could also add the link below with the instructions for your students
