Moodle

Moodle is our online learning environment. 

Tutors will use Moodle to publish:

  • All module information in one place
  • Links to online resources
  • Activities for you to participate in
  • Videos of teaching sessions
  • Important news and announcements
  • Turnitin electronic assignment submission

Your Moodle homepage displays quick links Illustrative image  to resources you may require on a daily basis such as:
email, online storage, Office 365, module information, library resources, University news, support information, and your online academic record (ChiView).

Click the 'My pages' quick link Illustrative image  which shows your modules grouped by tabs Illustrative image

If you're using Moodle on your phone or tablet Illustrative image  you should access it via the University app or your internet browser, and not the Moodle app available from your mobile device's app store.

Services available in Moodle

The top menu bar in Moodle includes dropdown sections for 'Student Services', 'Study Related', 'Campus Facilities', and 'Timetables'. Illustrative image

  • Email

  • Help Website

  • Support Me Self Service

  • Printer credit

  • Student handbook

  • Academic year dates

  • Library services (e.g. online library catalogue)

  • ChiView (timetable/your student record)

  • Book a PC/study booth/room

  • PC availability maps

  • Campus maps and directions

  • News and announcements

  • Inter-campus transport (U7 bus and Uni Flyer)
