Campus card (inc. attendance recording)

Campus card

Your campus card Illustrative image   displays the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your student number (7 digits e.g. 1508547)
  • Your library borrower number (8 characters e.g. 1508547X or 15085473. This is typically your student number followed by an extra character or number)

Uses of campus card

  • Printers / photocopiers / scanners:

    Before first use your campus card must be activated (see printing page)
  • Door entry:
    Tap to gain access to various buildings on both campuses Illustrative image  including the Student Union
  • Library self-service machines:
    Used for borrowing books and other resources Illustrative image
  • Attendance:
    Recording your attendance for lectures  Illustrative image

Library services

  • You are automatically a member of the library when you join the University
  • Your campus card is also your library card
  • You will find your 8 character library borrower number on your campus card  Illustrative image

  • The University records attendance for timetabled sessions
  • Most of our teaching spaces have card readers, make sure you have your campus card with you to 'tap in'
