The player is provided with a kettle lead but does not include batteries (8x A) - although you may provide your own for truly mobile sound playback.
Please also bear in mind that a majority of teaching spaces on campus have an audio visual setup for CD and MP3 that you may prefer to use.
The SD90 is the main video camera available to students, and is based on Solid State Technology no longer requiring a Mini DV Tape to be used.
To transfer data to other formats and to edit please visit the Media Centre in the BOC LRC.

Please note when returned the card is formatted for the next user.
For recording interviews etc Equipment Loans has a number of digital dictaphones available.
In order to listen to playback you will require a set of earphones, or it is possible to transfer the audio files created directly to a computer using the provided USB cable. Instructions are included in the kit but may also be found below.
The kit comes with 4 rechargeable batteries - so please make sure you return them with the kit after use.
Portable Data Projector Screens are available for use in conjunction with data projectors.
As with data projectors please check that we have not already provided suitable audio visual equipment in the space you are booking the equipment for.
Data projectors can be borrowed by students for use in a variety of applications where images need to be shown on a screen.
Laptops to connect to the projectors may be borrowed from the IT Service Desk found in the BOC LRC foyer, although you may attach your own laptop to the projector with the enclosed VGA cable. Please note we are unable to provide Mac/VGA connectors.
Please bear in mind that a majority of the University's lecture and seminar spaces are equipped with audio visual setups that include projectors specifically fitted for the space - so please check whether we have already met your needs before you book another projecor.
