If you are creating video and audio resources for your students, you should think about how accessible the information is to those with visual or hearing impairments.
Adding captions to ChiPlayer videos
If you are creating a video teaching resource, you are required to add captions to make it fully accessible.
ChiPlayer has the ability to add automatic captions, however these are rarely accurate enough on their own and would require manually checking and editing.
If your video is a live recording (stream) or if your video is supplementary to a lecture (lecture capture) you are not required to add captions, but please think about adding other resources such as lecture notes or slides.
If you are using audio resources, think about creating a text alternative, for example including the script in a text format.
